Sleepless In Cali: September 2009

We had a great visit with my Dad and Tami My step mom. We went to the Cantaloupe Festival, fed the ducks, fished, went to a movie "G Force," went to the park, walked around town, looked at the air planes on base, played with horses and goats. Lots of fun. I even got to visit with a college roommate and her daughter. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Here is some info most people don't know about me. I am an extremely patriotic person. I cry at national anthems and military recruiting tapes. I am a military brat. I grew up supporting a dad of the Navy. When I see the American flag I tear up and marvel at its beauty. I know what family's have to sacrifice. I know what we have to sacrifice for our freedom. My children will know this and I hope they will understand this. I spent some of my time here in the Top Gun NAS. I waited while my dad served in Iraq. I celebrated when he returned. I love my Dad for his service and I love my mom for hers. She was alone a lot and she took care of me with out while my dad served and volunteered for his country. I am grateful and appreciate their service for their country.

I had fun visiting my step Mom and my Dad. They kept us busy and we had a nice visit. Froglegs didn't want to leave. We didn't want to leave just yet. The Blue Angel air show is today and we got to watch them practice a little before we left, but home was calling us and it was time to go home. We saw a couple airplanes zoom past us and shoot straight up really really high like a rocket and turn upside down and zoom past us. It was beautiful. Maybe next visit we'll stay. Thank you for the lovely visit. We enjoyed it and hope Grandma Tami gets better from her illness. We hope to see you soon!!!
