J's Second Week With the Family

Thanks to all who have supported J into the new world and all your love and support. Congrates on the new coming babes in the family!!! We are so excited to see and hear about all the joy our family experiencing. We pray for you all, and love you very much.
Baby J is our Little Jumper he jumps at any startling noise and shakes to the cold like an old man. His hands go wild when he is crying and tries to mutilate his face with his long fingernails that he inherited from mom. We have already cut them twice. His belly button fell off today!!He has wild curious hands and cute expressive faces. Pouty lips when he hurts inside from a burp or bum cramp. He loves his bubbles he makes smiley faces all the time. It takes for ever to feed him cause he loves pulling off to feel the lava lamp in his tummy. Every diaper we change has poop in it, and he has peed on us and himself about 10 times. I don't remember Froglegs ever giving us this much trouble!:) I think its because he is so much more healthier than Froglegs, being full term. We know when he is going to pee when he goes silent and no cries are heard during diaper changing. We are learning and loving it. Daddy is gone out of state this week and I am so grateful for my mom being here.
One sad thing though Froglegs got a cold Sunday in Nursery and brought it home then I got it and then J did. We are coughing and sniffling like crazy, but I am healing great from the birth. It almost seems surreal all the blessings we have received. We are Eternally grateful for all of them. If it is because of your prayers- Thankyou.

Three days after J was born he wanted to listen to story time. He seems to be very interested in the story. He is already learning his ABC's. Its awesome to watch him observe his surroundings. He is already focusing on his mobile and trying to move objects with his hands.

Awwwwww!

We decided to try a new tradition in our family to celebrate our German/ European heritage, an October fest. Dad spend a lot of time to perfect this meal, we found it in the Oct. Martha Stewert Mag. Yum Yum. Instead of Beer we drank apple juice.

This is the only watermelon we could harvest this year and it was just in time to celebrate the birth of bambino J.

Yeah I got me some milk!!!

Do my ears hang low?

They are stretching for bed together. Got to get those kinks out of their spines.

Because he was five days from his due date I believe he is very strong and healthy boy. Tummy time isn't so bad. We also started him earlier than we did Froglegs. His neck is so strong and so are his legs and arms. Amazing. My mom thinks he'll be into sports and with his fingers so long maybe into the "tard" or piano. We'll see.

Froglegs and Daddy shining dad's shoes for his work trip today. Another week we'll miss Daddy!!!

Welcome to the World, Baby J!!!

Baby J joined us Tuesday at 1:52 in the afternoon. He tipped the scales at 8 lbs 12 oz. and chalked up at 20 1/2". A healthy bundle of joy!

We had a pretty smooth Labor and Delivery. Mom and Dad played cards for most of it and we had a great time with the staff.

First Bath.

First Feeding.

This was our L&D Nurse, Chris. She was wonderful. She worked very hard for Mom and was an angel. She massaged Mom and was very positive and friendly throughout the whole labor. Without her this probably would not have been as great of an experience as it was. She almost got to catch the baby. Once Mom was ready to push she only pushed through 4 or 5 contractions and the baby almost popped out into Chris' lap. We had to stop Mom from pushing because the doctor was taking too long to come in. Once the doctor was there, Mom pushed once for the head and once more for the rest. As his body was coming out the umbilical cord was loosely wrapped around his body and as he slid out the cord tied into a not. The doctor seemed to think it was cool, so did Dad. They say it is rare to have a ‘true knot’ in the cord.

Froglegs holds J for the first time.

Daddy finally gets a turn.

Froglegs loves Baby J.

Grandma Honeybee gets to have a moment with J. Dad and Froglegs went out to the airport to pick up Grandma and then went to the hospital to pick up Mommy and Baby J. Boy was Mommy ready to go home! The staff at the hospital took really good care of her--maybe too good. They kept coming in to check on them about every hour. Mom could never get to sleep.

This is Baby J's first outfit (other than hospital gear).

Froglegs brought Mommy some beautiful "Mums". He gave Baby J a little stuffed dog--it's in the car seat in the next pic.

Baby J is all packed up and ready to go!

Here we are leaving the hospital. We had to have a family picture with our new little brother and our Big Brother Jesus. Baby J was born at Jesus' Hospital.
