Welcome to the World, Baby J!!!

Baby J joined us Tuesday at 1:52 in the afternoon. He tipped the scales at 8 lbs 12 oz. and chalked up at 20 1/2". A healthy bundle of joy!

We had a pretty smooth Labor and Delivery. Mom and Dad played cards for most of it and we had a great time with the staff.

Daddy having a few moments with J.

First Bath.

First Feeding.

This was our L&D Nurse, Chris. She was wonderful. She worked very hard for Mom and was an angel. She massaged Mom and was very positive and friendly throughout the whole labor. Without her this probably would not have been as great of an experience as it was. She almost got to catch the baby. Once Mom was ready to push she only pushed through 4 or 5 contractions and the baby almost popped out into Chris' lap. We had to stop Mom from pushing because the doctor was taking too long to come in. Once the doctor was there, Mom pushed once for the head and once more for the rest. As his body was coming out the umbilical cord was loosely wrapped around his body and as he slid out the cord tied into a not. The doctor seemed to think it was cool, so did Dad. They say it is rare to have a ‘true knot’ in the cord.

Froglegs holds J for the first time.

Daddy finally gets a turn.

Froglegs loves Baby J.

Grandma Honeybee gets to have a moment with J. Dad and Froglegs went out to the airport to pick up Grandma and then went to the hospital to pick up Mommy and Baby J. Boy was Mommy ready to go home! The staff at the hospital took really good care of her--maybe too good. They kept coming in to check on them about every hour. Mom could never get to sleep.

This is Baby J's first outfit (other than hospital gear).

Froglegs brought Mommy some beautiful "Mums". He gave Baby J a little stuffed dog--it's in the car seat in the next pic.

Baby J is all packed up and ready to go!

Here we are leaving the hospital. We had to have a family picture with our new little brother and our Big Brother Jesus. Baby J was born at Jesus' Hospital.

Doctor News

Hey just an update for my family clan. I went to the doc today and he told me I was dilated to a 4 and that I was 60% effaced. He also told me that I am going to have an easier labor since my body is doing my job for me already. So, it is any time now we will have number two. SO, be ready for a call. I can't wait to get it over with the waiting game is killing my patience. Love you talk to you hopefully soon!!!!

Prayers

Hey everyone,
Some fun news. Frogleg's says his own prayers now!! I assisted him two or three days ago for family prayer and the next day I asked whose turn it was and he said he wanted to do it. He said the same prayer 4 or 5 times before we told him it was time for bed. We were so happy for him. This morning he blessed the food all by himself too. He especially is grateful for presents and cake. It's in every prayer. And he said to "please bless the family." He also sings, I Am A Child of God and Happy birthday, ABC'... the most. He has more songs but those are his fav's right now. His favorite phrase is "Come on Baby light my fire." and "Tractor's Sexy"when he sees the tractors on the side of the road. Yes, I taught him those it's so cute to hear it come out of his mouth. I love being a mom!!! He's so funny!! He is the light of our lives we wouldn't trade him for the world.

I had the best birthday thanks for all your calls and cards. Love you and miss you.
